avoid their green line of drives - out of 7 drives, all have been replaced at least once

Summary: Unlike most of the positive reviews, I have owned a few of these drives for around 2 years now. For most of them, they seemed fine during the first few months. So in my mind any review where the drive is less than 3+ months old is not really valid. I have not had any of the green drives I own survive more than about a year or a year and half at most. Out of the 7 I now own, I have replaced all of them once. And I think I have to replace a replacement now as well.
Summary: I had purchased over 10 WD Digital, only a couple game problems but this??? Caught me completely off guard!! 2 TB data lost, Usually you get a warning a sign that the drive is having issues, weird sounds, slow, etc etc but this????? the computer reset and PUFF!! "You need to format this drive"" only six month of use and now WD wont replace it because I live overseas and I need to send the damage HD, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS DRIVE TO NOBODY!
Summary: I have a DLINK NAS and I have purchased these drive to put them in it. I have been running them for about 2 years now and it is still working perfectly. Not sure if these were to be installed in a PC, but for a NAS installation, they are just great. Low noise and heat.
Summary: Excellent produit même si Western Digital semble avoir des problèmes depuis quelques temps.
Summary: I must attempt data recovery for my clients on more WD hard drives than any other drive. I have them littered over my work desks. A client installed a 2 Tb drive and 3 months later ... dead. Another client had a 1 Tb hard drive.... a few months later...dead Another client had 2 WD NAS devices containing 2 x 2Tb hard drives.... all going in the bin. That's 6 hard drives I personally know about within 3 weeks and I run a small IT business.
Summary: This drive performs very nicely and installed with no problems. The package arrived quickly and adequately packaged from the supplier and I would use them again. I bought the product for capacity and the name brand rather than outright performance and have not been disappointed.
Summary: I Bought 2 of these drives last year. I have one drive mirroring the other, and so far both drives have performed well (about 9 months to date). They are very quiet, and I have been impressed by the speed of the drives too. These were replacements for X2 Seagate Barracuda drives I had bought first. Both drives slotted straight into bays in my MacPro, installing new system and software (Mac OS 10.6.8 snow leopard) was a 'piece of cake'.
Summary: After doing a lot of research I bought the WD10EARX to upgrade the hard disk in my Pace Sky+ HD box. Using EX PVR to backup my old drive and format & copy the recordings onto this took around 2 hours on my PC (Core2Duo E8500 with 8GB Ram) including the Anytime content. I wasn't sure if this would work as couldn't find anyone else that had upgraded a Pace Sky box but decided to give it go as the Sky box was becoming very unreliable and slow.
