Summary: After owning this drive for about a month, I ran into some errors when trying to write to it last night. Turns out there were several bad sectors on this drive and Check Disk was unable to fix them since there were so many, it had no room to move them.
Summary: New or used, the price difference between an SSD drive and a high speed Hard Disk Drive almost always favors the hard disk drive. The performance margin between the same two almost always favors the SSD.
Summary: This drive is much faster than the one that came with my desktop pc, so I use it as my primary. Several years later, still going strong, no issues at all, I wonder about some of the negative reviews, but I guess there are always a few bad units here and there.
FAST! and so far over a relatively long period, reliable in daily to multiple times a day on-off powerd situation

Summary: This drive is the "Hot Setup" for a boot up drive for an ageing desktop computer. We have an older ACER desktop which came with a "wear dated" 5200 RPM drive that started to flake out after a couple of yeas.
Summary: if you want your computer to respond like you see computers acting in all those movies with fancy screens and what nots, then you have no other choice but to get a raptor from western digital... they really are faster than ssd and cheaper for what you get...
