The SSD provides users with up to 250,069,680 usable sectors on its 0.40 x 3.9 x 2.75 inch form that has been tested to withstand up to 1000 G operation shock (tested against MIL-STD-810F standards), and has a standard operating temperature of 0° C to 70° C in 8% to 95% non-condensing humidity. It is also tested against MIL-STD-810F standard for operation at up to 80 000 altitude and withstands 16.3gRMS vibration value.

Features

The WD SiliconDrive N1x is a solid state drive that features advanced wear-leveling that provides users with longer SSD life and preserves drive with a combination of dynamic and static wear-leveling algorithms. These algorithms are designed to overcome performance degradation that occurs as a result of continual heavy use. The WD SiliconDrive N1x has been tested for tolerance for drops, shock and vibration, and features Native Command Queuing (NCQ) which increases the performance of SATA drives by placing read/write commands in the optimal sequential order; advanced error correction which enables error-free data transmission by deploying correction technologies to detect and correct errors; data integrity protection which protects data integrity and availability by preventing data loss from unexpected power loss during write operations; has TRIM command support (Windows 7) which maintains the SSD's performance throughout its lifespan and ATA SMART commands which is a Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technologies (SMART) that kicks in when an SSD needs replacement. The WD SiliconDrive N1x is compatible with any system that accepts a SATA hard drive with a standard 9.5 mm 2.5-inch form factor.
