Excerpt: Drives were bought to replace the stock Hitachi drives in a Mac Mini server, after the OS drive failed. I would have rather replaced them with 2 SSD or Hybrid drives. No problems with the drives to date, and my Mini Server is back up and running.
Summary: My husband dropped his notebook and the hard drive was toasted, so we bought one of these for replacement. A friend of ours put it in, so that part was easy, and it works great too ;) A word to those who might be new to this type of project..
Excellent 1-TB drive: compact 9.5mm height for laptop use, very quiet, low power consumption, fairly fast, at a great price!

Summary: இ Fuzzy Wuzzy's Summary: ѾѾѾѾѾ Highly recommended with warm fuzzies! I previously added two of these 5400-RPM Western Digital Scorpio Blue drives in the 1-TB size on a laptop that is often used for the editing of photos, images, and very large video files.
Excerpt: Everything seems fine except that the order was an open-box item (possibly someone had returned it). I didn't put it to use yet, and don't want to waste time with the exchange process. (trusting that it will work fine)
Excerpt: As a computer tech I normally buy through distributors, but this was a great price, and was available immediately. I've purchased 20 or 30 of these Scorpio Blue drives with very few warranty issues. Its a good solid drive, and a great price.

Summary: Once again but, for the last time I fell into that vortex of a tech item that promises a lot but absent on delivery. Western Digital has for years been making products that have ( in my opinion.. ) been working in the subpar range of 20 / 80% of success next to an old Pinto.
