  • Summary: Purchased this to replace factory hard drive in PS3. Took a few minutes to install, and I had a huge amount of space for game downloads, etc. Since PS4 is around the corner, and I don't know how long the PS3 will be supported, it's nice to know that I can always keep my purchases on the hard drive and never worry about running out of space.

  • Summary: So far so good, runs quiet and doesn't get too hot at all but that may be because of the chill pad Overall great buy, also you can't beat the price on Walmart's warranties. .

works perfectly with my slim PS3

Amazon Customer, Amazon
9 August 2013
  • Summary: Bought this HDD to upgrade my 120GB slim PS3. Very easy to do if you follow any online instructions or youtube videos. Here's what I did: 1. Backed up my 120GB content through PS3 backup utility to a external drive (I was able to use an SD card w USB adaptor) 2. Formatted this 1TB drive to FAT32 (not NTFS) through my PC 3. swap out the 120GB and plug in this drive 4. downloaded the latest PS3 slim system update in an USB drive 5.

PS3 Upgrade

Robert Lacroix, Amazon
7 June 2013
  • Summary: I bought this after a few weeks of searching around to upgrade my PS3 slim, the drive is perfect. It offers a ton of space and as everyone knows by now could not be easier to swap out with the exisiting HDD in the console. I have had the drive installed since FEB but waited a few months to come in and give anytype of review or rating because I wanted to make sure the system would function fine with it in.

So far so good for my PS3

T. Dawson "Cybershark", Amazon
10 May 2013
  • Summary: I bought this HD to replace my PS3's original 60gb HD. So far so good a HUGE leap in memory and at a GREAT price!! I would totally recommend this HD for anybody wanting to transfer their existing PS3 systems existing HD. Dont go for anything less then a Terrabyte either. The PS3 for the last few years has been having gaming companies force you to download most of the games memory onto the PS3's memory therefore you can burn through your PS3's memory now in just a few...

  • Summary: Installation was super easy in my slim PS3. The set up, while it took quite a while, was simple. Hard drive works great and now I have plenty of room for all my music, videos, and games. Excellent purchase at a great price.

Used it for my PS3 Slim

Kelby Chen, Amazon
16 January 2013
  • Summary: Easy to install. It fits just as it should. A direct upgrade replacement for your PS3 Slims Hard drive. I would assume they would work for all models that need the 2.5" type. No altering or anything, slid right in, worked right away no complaints.

Installed In My PS3 Slim

Joseph A. Orsini, Amazon
5 January 2013
  • Summary: I bought this drive specifically to upgrade my PS3 slim 320GB to 1TB. The drive fit perfectly and was easy to install. So far it runs whisper quiet in the PS3 and I could not ask for more. After researching drives for the slim version of the PS3 I thought this one was a good value and it has not disappointed. Now it is just a matter of longevity, hopefully the drive holds up for a long time.

Works for PS3, although not as much space as you may think

Nick, Amazon
4 January 2013
  • Summary: I put this drive in an original model PS3, and it works fine. A couple things to keep in mind regarding storage space. First, the binary vs decimal issue that is fairly well know. In this case, the drive is actually 931GB. Second, the PS3 reserves a certain % of the hard drive space for system use. Unfortunately, this % seems to be the same regardless of the size of hard drive installed.
