Poor vendor, great product
Buford N., Newegg

Summary: I did my homework for this purchase because the Mini is so difficult to work on. I only wanted it in the shop once so I chose the Samsung SSD and the WD Scorpio Black based on user reviews.
Pros: Great hard drive. I refreshed my Mac Mini with a 250gb Samsung Evo 840 SSD and wanted to install an internal Time Machine backup drive using a 2nd HDD kit from OWC.. It's a little spendier than other 2.5" drives but if the numbers and reviews are right it's worth it.
Cons: Action Packaged is the WORST online purchase experience I have had in a very long time! I placed my order before Labor Day and lingered in processing forever. It was 3 weeks before I received the drive. This vendor will never see another cent of my money again. I have been a Newegg customer for 8...
Summary: After a bad experience with another drive manufacturer, I've stayed with Western Digital ever since.
Pros: Bought this back in Sept of 2013 to replace a 320 GB drive that was running out of room in my notebook. First drive started doing the "clicking" within a few weeks. Happily I had not committed any data to the drive yet, so replacing it just took some time. Drive has been solid since September. Ru...
Summary: My only problem with this drive is that the price dropped by $10 and added free shipping just a few hours after i purchased it. I guess just bad luck on my part. Wish i could have canceled the order and put it back in but it was already being packaged at the time.
Pros: -Fast for a mechanical drive -Decent seek times -Decent power usage
Cons: -Doesn't come in larger capacities than 750GB, wish they had 1TB+ -Price dropped by $10 and added free shipping just hours after i ordered it! -Cache could be larger, would like to see mechanical laptop drives with 32MB to 64MB caches -Its not a hybrid drive, would be nice to see WD make one.
Pros: Great HDD. Been using it for about 3 months now its a definite speed improvement over the 5400RPM that I had.
Cons: Very loud. Not sure if it's because it's spinning too much or just very bad at noise cancellation. The old HDD it replaced I never heard it running, except for it was terribly fragmented and that's when I could hear the head seeking. But this one, way loud even when idle.
