Good & Bad

Straydog, Amazon
  • Summary: Like it - but hesitant about purchasing anymore Western Digital products. The "customer service" seems to have forgotten how to really assist customers. Tech support is accusatory if not downright hostile. I built repair PC's, many of my customers have horror story experiences with WD.

  • Summary: I have had pretty good luck with Western Digital and have purchased their drives in the past. I usually purchase the smaller drive to use as my main C-drive.

Great value, Western Digital reliability, fast, free shipping

Frank Wassner "fw2004", Amazon
17 May 2015
  • Summary: It always amazes me at how much you get for your money in hard drives. I have always relied on Western Digital, and needed a replacement drive for an old computer. This drive is a great value. Shipment was well packed, free, and arrived on-time.

Definitely not SATA

Jeremiah N., Newegg
5 May 2015
  • Summary: Talk about a bubble wrap pack job. These bad boys would probably survive if they fell from 30,000 ft. Good work goHardDrive.
  • Pros: All my fault. In my exhausted state I didn't even bother to check if these were SATA. Shot out an email to goHardDive day after delivery and and got a response next day with label attached along with a full refund. Smoothest RMA I have ever accomplished.
  • Cons: My ignorance?

  • Summary: Both hard drives were. S.M.A.R.T problem. One hard drive was replaced and also was bad also with the same problem. Looks like they were not new (despite as was advertized). According to manufacture label it was made in 2005 and not under manufacture warranty.

Barring An Initial Hiccup, All is Right with the World

Thomas A. Swilling, Amazon
28 March 2015
  • Summary: I know what people say about 5-star ratings and rave reviews, but in this case, both the product and the seller (Finity India in California) deserve the 5-star rating, even though I initially had problems. When I received the product, the drive was defective. It would not run at all.
