  • Summary: Western Digital is my go to hard-drive these days. WDs are fast, dependable and quiet and this drive is no exception.

  • Summary: Great drive when used in a NAS. Have being using two of these drives in a RAID 1 running 24/7 for the past 2 years in a Synology DS 212+ Not much more to really stay except that I'm very pleased with the product. For a home or small business this is an ideal drive. I keep a 3rd drive as a spare of which has not been used and just collects dust.
  • Pros: Solid Drive, price per TB is on par, Great for NAS
  • Cons: nothing really

Great drive for storage

  • Summary: Looking through some of the previous reviews, it seems that some people don't understand the point of the Green series. It is designed for low-power and to not provide the highest possible speeds. Personally, I would not use these as a primary drive (I have an SSD, but prior, I would use the Black series), but as storage drives, they work great!

  • Summary: Goes on sale a lot which is pretty much the only times i buy this drive. these seem to have a very short lifespan (1-2 years at MOST before it starts showing signs of failure)
  • Pros: lots of space obviously
  • Cons: honestly, i would keep a backup
