Slower than the Stock

Robert Nagel, Amazon
31 May 2013
  • Summary: I replaced my stock HD with this one. It is noticeably slower than the stock - starting up the computer and opening applications takes longer.

Needs more cache

Joshua P. Luben, Amazon
24 May 2013
  • Summary: This hard drive performs okay for the occassional user. When compared to drives with 64mb of cache, you can feel the difference. For a cheap replacement, the economics work out fine, but probably not for much longer.

  • Summary: Normally I would never buy this drive, but with the recent raised of the hard disk drives price caused by the flooding in Thailand I simply could not afford bigger or faster (SSD) drive.
  • Pros: Works ok...
  • Cons: Capacity not so impressive compared to other drives., Price higher than it should be

Value Line hard drive .. Don't expect much

Candace Strickler, Amazon
15 January 2012
  • Summary: As a computer repair business owner I have to let customer demand limit my choices in inventory. I have purchasing the blue line for a few years now and have to say that reliability has been a huge issue. I have been buying WD drives since they used to have a 5 year warranty.

  • Summary: This was partially my own issue on researching the product as I was upgrading my hard drive on our desk top. I've done this before but had always had a long ribbon cable for it not the SATA connection. This is a SATA drive which comes to you bare bones nothing but the hard drive.

Get a 1TB or 2TB instead; the value is higher. 500gb for £36 is just not worth it.

home, Amazon
18 October 2014
  • Summary: Taking it's time to be delivered; don't think it's worth the price. I had already ordered it when I realised that I could have got a 1 terrabyte for £3 more. For an extra £14 however; that hard-drive space gets put up to 2 terrabyte (4 times more than what you can get here).

Bought two, 1 dead within 30 days

Matt Willsher, Amazon
13 April 2014
  • Summary: Ordered two drives in the standard packaging. Upon arrival, one sounded like it had sand inside when moved gently from side to side. None the less, I installed the two drives into computer. Just under a month later, the drive has failed. The other seems to be ok.
