Summary: I bought this hard-drive in August of 2013 and it's dead as of December 31st of 2014. My customer isn't happy he's lost the last two weeks of business data. It isn't my fault at least because for a business computer I would recommend backing up business stuff daily.
Summary: This drive works just like the original, which it is (just 10 years later). I have saved several legacy computers by doing a bit-copy of the entire original hard drive onto these. New, the speed enhancement is startling and they will last another 10 years I suspect.
Summary: I bought this drive about five years ago and forgot to review it! Well, it's still running great -no issues. I do test and scan drives every three months or so, and I backup monthly to a portable drive. So this drive has done very well for five years now.
Summary: In total I have used 27 Western Digital drives in the past 14 years. Usually I turn them on in the morning and off late at night. I have worked at programming computers in Machine Language and at using, owning and maintaining hard drives since 1968.
