Summary: No cables or screws come with the hard drive, not a con to me I have plenty kicking around, just something to consider.
Pros: I bought this hard drive when it was on sale and it was definitely worth the price. Installed windows 7 on it on the first try which is a miracle in itself. After install comes out to be 498 GB which is what I expected. So far the drive is pretty quick and it fit into the 3.5" bay with no issues.
Summary: My Linux server also uses a WD HDD (60 GB) as its primary storage device, and given its long history of reliable performance, I was not the least bit reluctant in choosing a Western Digital product.

Summary: 4 stars = I like it, so I'll tell you why. You need to know that I installed this in a computer I built to be fast and silent. It's a backup drive for a 240GB SSD and it gets backed up to a large external so 500GB is really enough in this situation.

Summary: ..this is the hard drive installed as the OEM equipment in the Q-See QC448 security system (4-camera, 8-channel). This drive runs very quietly, which is good since it's in a fanless enclosure in the Q-See system.
