Verbatim SSD Secure ExpressCard

The Verbatim SSD Secure ExpressCard features AES 256-bit hardware encryption, combining solid-state drive storage technology with security protection. The SSD Secure ExpressCard is available in 32GB and 16GB. The device supports mandatory complex password input, content drive that automatically deletes after 10 incorrect password entries, a form factor that can be completely inserted into the internal ExpressCard slot, low power consumption that provides users with longer battery life for laptops and netbooks, a shock resistant design and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Features

Verbatim’s SSD Secure ExpressCard with AES 256-bit hardware encryption is aimed at providing users with maximum security for stored data. The hardware-based encryption with mandatory complex password input functions to protect the stored data from being accessed by unauthorized individuals. The device features disk auto-formatting after 10 incorrect password entries, which deletes all the content on the drive, further increasing the security of the drive. Another feature on the SSD is the option of assigning guest passwords, enabling all or some of the data memory accessible to others. Designed in a sturdy and resistant to shocks and vibrations form factor the SSD has low power consumption, which provides users with longer battery life for laptops and netbooks. It is also a plug and play device eliminating the need for prior software installation or having to secure administrator rights. The ExpressCard SSD can also function as a permanent extension to the memory on netbooks and laptops, as it can be integrated completely into the internal PCI ExpressCard slot, which is a standard feature of modern laptops. The cards are compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7, and is available with capacities of 32GB and 16GB.
