Summary: I installed it on my asus g53sw and it is fast. Boot time fast, opening programs fast. Satisfied with this SSD. Had a little problem with hibernation and freezing at the start but support recommended firmware upgrade and now it works just super.
Summary: I ordered this to replace a Crucial M4 that I had purchased about a year ago. The M4 has issues where after so many hours it would die. I give the Transcend two thumbs up as far as ease and performance. It's only a SATA3 but it boots up my Windows7 faster than it takes to get through the Asus bios!
Summary: This ssd has made my computer faster than I expected. Boot times for windows 7 is about 20 seconds. microsoft word and outlook are open in 1 second. The bottleneck was the hard drive but now there is no waiting.
Summary: Drive performance great. Replaced Intel 120g with this one. Only disappointment is the software to test the integrity of the drive from the manufacture site didn't work with this drive. Called emailed their support line to verify that also. Other then that very please with drive.
Summary: I bought this on 24hour special price, so I really got a steal price. Everything transferred fast, I used a USB3 case for the transfer. My boot time is down to 30seconds or less from 2 minutes 45 seconds before. The only issue I have is Quickbooks. My registry cleaner wants to remove whatever weird files Quickbooks makes on a SSD that it does not on a hard disc.
Summary: Transcend supplies you with their SSD Scope software. You can make sure of a couple of things, namely that the firmware is updated (currently release 5.04 instead of the 5.02 it ships with), and that TRIM is enabled in Windows. I installed it in my 4 year old laptop, running Windows 7-64 bit, but had some trouble. It was not resuming properly from hibernate mode, and Transcend's own SSD Scope software was not recognizing the drive.
