Summary: I was looking for reasonable drive to put into my NAS4Free file server. It's not "design" to run 24/7, but I don't need one. My NAS is on every so often to backup my desktops and phones. At the moment I run 2x Toshiba 2TB as two of 6 drive matrix in RaidZ2 configuration.
it is still running fine. It does get audibly loud under heavy load

Summary: I bought this HDD so that I can use it in my Gaming PC build. After 3 months of use, it is still running fine. It does get audibly loud under heavy load, however, so if you're looking for a quiet drive, look someplace else.
Summary: Installed quickly. Inexpensive. Drive has been running error free for about a month now. I'll update the review if I run into a problem, but so far, no problem. Gave it five stars as it's the least expensive 7200 RPM drive I could find.
Summary: So far, so good. It's always tricky writing reviews for HDs. There almost should be a waiting period of a year before you are allowed to review them. I'd hate to recommend the thing and a week later it crashes. But I did it anyways.
Summary: Running on a 2 drive Win 8.1 Update 1 system, "Modern" (ha) interface bypassed. I bought this drive a few months ago, to be the bulk app and game store to my main OS SSD. It is fast, relatively quiet, with games and apps alike running off it without problem and at a good speed.
Summary: Good drive. I use this drive as a dynamic TV media server meaning it gets information written and rewritten to it every day. Moderately used for about 7 months now. I have no issue with sound or heat from the drive. Cons: None
Summary: Purchased this hard drive for my first build in April 2014,it lasted only 3 months, started making a clicking sound when i would start up my computer,so i did a scan on my computer tower, through Intel Rapid Storage Technology and it informed me to replace my hard drive,it was going to fail.
Summary: I ordered one of these for my rig as HDD storage in January and it has been working flawlessly. Saw it on sale for $79.99 this week(July 28) and decided to get another one. You can never have too much space.... Well, the second one arrived DOA.
Pros: Great and affordable. Reliable. Nice price (On sale for $79.99)
Summary: I think there are some serious QA issues with these drives. On the last shipment 3 out if 4 where DOA. Amazon replaced them fast. On the previous order 1 out of 4 had bad sectors out of the box. That's obviously a very high percentage.
