Replacement Drive on Alienware m17 R1 - fit fine and works well

Summary: I used this to replace a fried drive in an Alienware m17 R1 that I repaired for a friend. As near as I could tell, this is the same drive the manufacturer used, but perhaps a year or two different vintage. It worked fine. Note, the original drive lasted about 4-5 years with no issues. While I am not certain, I strongly suspect that the root cause of the original drive failure was heat damage from an seriously overheating laptop, not from a quality issue with the original...
Summary: I've been using this for just over a month and it's great a lot of space for a great price. The one I bought is refurb and I still got a warranty on it. Like I said it works good so far. It's very quiet as well.
Summary: Easy to install in my Dell E1505 laptop. booted up no problems. I imaged it from my old drive first (using an ubuntu live disk) and it booted right up. of course, the errors copied over too, so I ended up re-installing windows and re-formatting anyhow...
Great drive that does exactly what it's supposed to

Summary: Bought this drive for my wife's laptop after her HD ran out of space. This one has been working well over a year (maybe a year and a half?) without issue. Installed and started up just like it was supposed to.
Summary: I bought this to upgrade my old PS3 with more storage space and it was easy. Now I have 500 GB instead of 60 GB which means that I can play and save all my old PS1 and PS2 games with no problems and I have a lot more room to store DLC.
