Summary: I bought this to repair a laptop that belonged to a co-workers son. It was compatible for the Compaq laptop. Installed easily and I had the laptop back up and running in no time. (well with the exception of the hours of Windows Updates that had to be installed) It was far cheaper to buy this thru amazon then to purchase from local stores, definitely cheaper than direct from Compaq. The HD operates quick and quietly. No issues with it so far.
Summary: Just know that this drive doesn't come with Segate's G-Force SMS to detect if your device is in a freefall. That feature only comes on the 500 GB ST9500420ASG2 and the 250 GB ST9250410ASG2. I ordered mine elsewhere, but I still can't wait to get it in my 2011 MacBook Pro's current HD slot. I had forgotten how slow these stock 5400 RPM drives are!
Summary: This is a great upgrade for your PS3. I have plenty of room on my PS3 now and it is definately faster than the other 5200rpm drives out there on the market. Be warned though, the upgrade process is not as straight forward as they make out on youTube. Once installed you will probably find that you need update data from a USB HDD or stick. Once you have downloaded it from a computer you can perform a format and begin the restore process.
Usual great Seagate quality let down by terrible packaging

Summary: If you're reading this, you already know everything you need to about this drive. The important thing to know with this item is that it will be posted in a padded envelope. Now imagine what an envelope goes through when it passes through the infrastructure that is Royal Mail. Not the ideal environment for a hard drive. Hopefully they'll start posting them in boxes with, you know, padding.
Summary: I bought this to replace my SMART failing HDD in my 13.3" White MacBook a few months ago, and have noticed several things, itemised here for clarity: 1: Boot times have been reduced by about a 1/3. Very welcome, says I. 2: Increased storage is a godsend. Hello Win7! 3: Battery drains ever-so-slightly faster, but read-write speeds are much quicker. An ample trade-off for a photographer like me.
