Summary: I installed the disk drive the day I received it and have had no problems so far. The drive was not packed correctly. All that was in the box was two plastic caps that was supposed to support the drive, but were off. I found the drive in the bottom of the box.

However the packaging that it arrived in was absolutely disgraceful - there was no where near enough bubble wrap for the size of the box compared to the HDD, meaning that it was rattling around in the box.
