Summary: Do some looking around; there were 4000+ reviews for this item last month; the seller has changed the listing so all those reviews no longer show up.. Just as well; nobody can read 4000 reviews. BUT, keep in mind other sellers offer this drive with a full warranty and Oceanside does not.
Summary: I purchased this drive because I though it was a good deal. Buyer beware, Tiger Direct didn't advertise the spindle speed. I was quite dismayed when I got it to see that it was only 5900 RPM. I bought it to upgrade my Late 27'' iMac. I thought why not, 4TB would be good in there.
Summary: I could not use the full capacity. My system could only use a little more than one half its capacity. When I returned it I was charged shipping again after I paid full return shipping. If the product has limited capacity do to OS then it should be stated on the web page.
Excerpt: I've ordered 9 of the 4TB seagates in total. One dead on arrival (failed to even spin up), and one had bad sectors / ecc errors - picked up immediately by my raid controller as part of raid build process. Both were returned for exchange (thanks Scan).
Summary: This drive does not function in RAID arrays. When connected to LSI host bus adaptors and hot-inserted into LSI backplanes the drive will not spin up. Additionally the bay that the drive was inserted into is permanently disabled until the entire server is powered off and cold-booted!
