Summary: This hhd does its jobs perfectly. It's not terribly fast but I've had no problem playing games on it and storing all of my files. I can't leave out that I ordered the 500gb version and received a 250gb version. I contacted the seller through Amazon and the refunded me half the price I paid the same day. So despite their mess up they were more than accommodating on fixing the issue and overall I ended up paying 10 less than the 250gb version so I can't complain!
Summary: Pros: This has been a good hard drive for me, very reliable so far. - SATA II - Low power consumption - Plenty of storage as an OS drive - Relatively quite performance Cons: Not too many cons I can think of on this, which I'm pleased about to say the least. - Only 5900 RPM - Only average read/write speeds - Other reviews about this product worry me Other Thoughts: I did not get this drive from Amazon. I traded a friend of mine an old PC case for it that he wanted.
Summary: Bought from Digital Components Ltd (dclstore). Came shrink wrapped and well protected for delivery. This was recommended on a forum for upgrading/repairing the Humax 9200 PVR in conjunction with a Startech IDE to SATA adaptor. Worked perfectly.
Summary: the hdd there is not much to say an orginary 5900 hdd 5900 so yes it is slow but loved it just for storage not for my boot lol fits easy in any case and the seller delivered it fast and promptly
Summary: I ordered a pipeline HD and they sent me a barracuda, one is a drive designed for AV applications the other is a PC data drive - if I'd wanted a data drive I would have ordered one. To be fair they offered a refund and I returned the item however they only refunded me £5 of the £6.50 it cost me to return the drive. So ultimately I ended up £1.50 out of pocket for their mistake and no apology.
