Summary: Another reviewer gave this drive only 2 Stars and complained that it was too slow to install Windows 7 on. Well, DUH ! Read Seagate's description - it's intended for use as video storage in a DVR-type situation. And it can stream several recorded programs at once!
Summary: I bought a "used, like new" from the warehouse and it had almost 2 years of 24-hours-a-day usage according to CrystalDisk. NOT like new; I returned it...it may be the used one for sale... Buyer beware.
Summary: THE GOOD: This drive runs very cool, is quiet, and is designed to run 24x7 under harsh conditions (Seagate says it is rated to operate for prolonged periods of time at up to 75 degrees C). THE BAD So slow that it's almost unusable as anything other than a secondary drive for storing content.

Summary: I bought one of these to replace a 300GB drive with a 1TB drive for my Samsung SkyHD box and boy does it perform. Fitting incidentally is easy, if you can replace a hard drive in a PC then you can replace one in a Sky Box.
