No confidence in these drives

Pros: 3TB - Decent performance
Cons: High failure rate. I purchased 3 of these drives. I have experienced 4 failures over the 2 years I have owned them (~$17 to ship the return). Meanwhile, the much older 1TB drives in my NAS churn away without any troubles. With 1year remaining on the warranty and having zero confidence in these dr...
Summary: Seagate is warranty replacing the failed drive, I am hoping that the other bad cluster drive fails completely before the warranty is up. I upped my RAID from one drive redundancy to two drive redundancy and now am using drives from several different manufactures to reduce likelihood of simultaneous...
Pros: These drives are rated for surveillance use, 24/7 operation, with a 3 year warranty.
Cons: After 15 months I have one drive with a few bad cluster developing and a second drive that started with bad clusters before failing completely. Given that I bought 3 of these drives, to have 1 full failure and a 1 with bad clusters is a pretty bad sign.
Summary: Seagate is no longer my go to hard drive , quality has gone down . Hope my seagate constellation srives last longer than these SV35 drives .
Pros: it worked well for 6 months
Cons: after 6 months started to make some noise , was running hot , at 11 months it seized started making a high pitched whine , could not read any data on the disc , disc no longer recognized , over 2 tb of lost data . Not the seagate of old , still have some 10 year old Seagate drives running , seaga...
Summary: Sucks that the NAS box (RAID 6) is now hanging by a thread until I get in a drive that I ordered, which won't get shipped until Monday (too late in the day).
Pros: The price was decent for the 4 drives that I purchased to go into the QNAP TS-869L NAS box
Cons: One of the four drives was running for less than three days and started head clicking. I looked up and saw that the red led was lit for the 4th drive in the NAS. Needless to say that it is going back for replacement tomorrow under the RMA process.
Summary: Since these are sensible parts sellers should use more and better protective packing materials for packing. Carton box was very thin. Drives protective bubble wrap was mostly waited. This boxes are NOT treated with care. We are not supposed to be crossing fingers on something we just bought new...
Summary: I purchased two of these in December 2012 and they both have been generally in continuous power on mode since. I use these drives in my NAS array and generally have no complaints, except that one of them just died and it's been only 18 months since purchase.
Vorsicht! 3 Jahre alte Refurbished-Festplatte zugesandt bekommen

Summary: Ausgepackt. Grüner Aufkleber mit "Seagate Recertified Repaired" Schriftzug bekommen. Crystal Disk Info befragt. Laufzeit ist zwar auf 0 Betreibsstunden gesetzt, Date Code auf dem Aufkleber attestiert aber das Produktionsjahr Juni 2012. Somit hat diese Platte im Mai 2015 fast keine Garantie mehr.
