Summary: Great drive for surveillance system. It works like it is supposed to. What else can I say ? The box it came in was very nice ? The metal cover was really pretty ? The wires sticking out of it were really pretty ??

Summary: I purchased the Seagate SV35 from Amazon in April of 2013. I run an HP Proliant N36 Microserver. I've used three 2TB Seagate Baracuda XT drives in it since it was set up. Those were generally reliable. I only lost one to a drive failure. And Seagate replaced it with an identical rebuilt drive under warranty. I purchased the Seagate SV35 in hopes being built to use for 24/7 surveillance might mean that it would hold up well in a 24/7 server platform.
Summary: I'm using this for a Q-See QT548. This is a definite upgrade from the WD 500 "green" drive that comes standard. I could tell right away, after recording for a little while, that the performance was greatly improved. Shuttling through the video is _much_ smoother than before and the storage size is the maximum that the QT548 can take. I can record all 8 cameras for a very, very long time.
