Summary: I bought this hard drive from dabs after receiving a DOA drive from Amazon, I was so happy with my past purchases from dabs i believed that this order should be perfectly fine. It arrived very quick and worked out of the box! Surprisingly it is even cheaper than buying from Amazon!!!
Summary: I returned the mybook 3tb drive due to how slow it was and wouldn't open files. It transferred my files in half the time of the WD Mybook 3tb, and it opened the videos quickly. I bought it to store my music, LTP DVD's, and regular movies, and it works great. I will get another one when the time comes. I bought my own enclosure and only turn it on when needed, just for heating issues if there are any. Other than that, great product.
Summary: I've been running 4 of these drives in RAID-10 for a backup array. They run great. I ordered 3 more for hot swap in the event of a failure....which hasn't happened yet. Some people say they are loud, I think they must have something wrong with their drives because mine are dead silent running full tilt. Solid drives for the money.
Summary: I purchased this hard drive to replace a drive that died in my local server. Drive was shipped quickly and was easily installed in the computer. Was back up and running within a day. Can't comment on long term reliability but, so far, working well.
Summary: Got a pair of this for $80 each, during the holiday deals and sales. Unbeatable price at that time. Performance is very good on my Rampage Extreme IV motherboard. Getting 170-180MBps sustained writes. I have them in Raid0 and they're performing at 330MBps. Capacity at 5.18TB (You lose a bit of space for going Raid0 to trade for the performance gains, well worth it.) I primarily do video capturing and encoding in 2560x1600 to 3840x2160 resolutions at 60fps.
