Summary: This thing is really loud when operating, I can clearly hear the disk spinning. However it was really affordable and still works well. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an external hard drive.
Summary: I'm using the drive in a Synology NAS and it works just fine. However, I have run into a problem with older enclosures (which works fine with 2TB drives) that will only recognize the drive as a 746GB drive even when it is partitioned using GPT (Which often solves this issue when running on Windows).
Pros: Works as expected.
Cons: Some compatibility issues with older enclosures.
Summary: bought these to put in my server for my 720p partition as a spanned array. Fast Speeds at first and great reliability. Unfortunately, 4 months later and both drives have dropped out of the array or have completely stopped to work. What a disappointment. Time for the boring RMA process because of an inferior product. Maybe I might of just had a couple of lemons.
Summary: I wanted a 3TB internal drive for a number of reasons. My system did not see it as 3T, although it has seen other drives (external) that large. It took some time to get access to the entire drive and ultimately I had to configure it as 2 partitions. That's not all bad, but I had hoped to make the decision rather than having it forced on me.
