Summary: This hard drive is only for "replacing" PC's with the original one, which is great. This Seagate Momentus 5400.6 320GB, is replacing the one I bought with a Dell Inspiron 1564. Windows 8 Pro will now have a new hard drive.
Summary: Bought as a replacement hard drive for OG PS3 after the original went out and began causing problems with the console. Once the install was complete and formatting was completed it worked perfectly.
Summary: got this to replace a bad drive for someone. definitely not the fastest drive but it was cheap so it fit the bill. I would go with an ssd for myself, or at least a 7200 rpm drive with larger cache.
Better performance than traditional sata HD but does produce noticeable heat and may be a concern for MacBook owners

Summary: Good drive for a compromise between speed and capacity. I currently one one drive in a pc and another in a MacBook Pro. Beware that this drive does produce a little more heat than the stock 5400rpm drive in the Mac and Mac owner may want to go with a ssd drive instead to keep the heat down if you can adjust to the smaller memory capacity.
Summary: I installed this hard drive and it would not fully accept the OS. Took it to repair center and it failed diagnostics. Seagate has always worked well for me but not this time. The repair center was going to charge more than a good used laptop was going to cost. I also bought the two year extended warranty. Seagate has a two year warranty on the product and the extended warranty starts at purchase. Don't bother buying the extended warranty.
Summary: I replaced 5400RPM Drivers with this 7200RPM Drive. The speed boost is small but worth the upgrade. So if you want the best performance from your laptop without going to SSD it's worth the upgrade.
