Summary: Item lasted one week past the replacement window of time. We started having issues with it right as the warranty was getting ready to expire, but thought it could be fixed. We paid $104.99, so I wouldn't recommend this product.

Summary: Unit would not clone Windows 7 properly and did not boot in laptop. Horrible directions how to fix that problem from Seagate and conflicting install instructions made this a nasty event for me. Had to sell it as used on another site. I did buy one for a PC and it was a flawless clone and install.

Summary: I've had nothing but issues with this drive since installed in my mid-2010 MacBook Pro. I bought to replace a 750GB Western Digital HDD and was hoping for at least a minor performance boost to go with the additional storage space.
Summary: Bought this to replace a 500GB Seagate laptop SSHD - should be very similar products, just a larger capacity, but the 1TB is pathetically slow compared to what it replaced. Boot time for the new drive is over 4 minutes compared to just under one minute with the older 500GB SSHD.
Summary: Constantly runs at full load, even if the computer is sitting idle. I cannot stress how bad this hard drive is and I don't know why I bought it especially hearing many things about the quality (or lack thereof) of Seagate hard drives.
Excerpt: This used to be a great product when it was the only choice. I will not recommend this product unless you plan not to move it around.Laptop computer should not be made with cheap material and especially not with parts that move in order to operate. Solid state drives are my choice.
