So far so good but the last one went click, click, click in less than 9 months

Summary: I bought a new Asus Q200e and it started doing weird things a couple of months afterwards. I was on Tech support and they almost took it back but said it would be OK. It had the Seagate Momentus Thin drive. Right after the warranty ran out it went click, click, click, disk not found. Now what do you do with a Win8 laptop with no disks and a hard drive that dies? Since it was a thin drive I found myself having to buy the same but new Seagate Momentus drive.
Summary: So I bought this drive solely for my aging PS3 which I wanted to upgrade since I could use my PSPlus membership to enjoy a larger game library while I wait to buy a PS3. This drive was a bare bones drive, and it was well packaged. It arrived promptly and it had no defects. I've only been running it for a few months now but its working strong and I can definitely tell the 16mb buffer helps it work a little better over a typical 8mb buffer on a lot of other drives.
Summary: So far, this drive was easy to install the Windows system on, although the complete installation and setup took a couple of hours. It's too bad that laptop manufacturers don't provide for stacking drives...this one is very compact and would be perfect for such use. As this is a recent install, I don't know how long it will continue to function. If I can get 3 years out of it, I would give it 5 stars.
Summary: These drives are not new, they are re certified, the seller puts a sticker over the side of the drive to hide the re cert label. They weren't even packed properly for hard drives, just sliding around in the bottom of the box with other stuff I ordered, all hard drives should be packed individually with some sort of packing material, not just thrown into the box with a bunch of power supplies.
