Summary: This HDD worked for a few weeks and then became unreadable. I have never had a disc fail so quickly. Samsung refused to honor their warranty and told me to try Seagate. Seagate told me that the drive was not covered under warranty since it was an OEM purchase. The vendor offered to honor the warranty but required the disc to be returned. I had valuable and proprietary data on the disc and I needed data recovery attempts that would void the warranty.
Summary: the drive arrived quickly without any problems. It worked great in my ps3 which is the original model not a newer slim but makes a bit more noise than the original drive does but not enough to be a problem would recommend this to any one upgrading an older model ps3.
Summary: This unit would not format, no matter what we tried and was therefore returned as faulty. We are quite experienced IT users, having both been using and building computers right from the first DOS only models, so any complaints can be considered to be from an expert user. The fault may have been because the internal packing was inadequate and allowed the unit to rattle about quite considerably, with poor impact cushioning between the internal box and the rather large...
Summary: Runs smoothly for the ps3, after the initial 320 gb hardrive failed. Luckily I have my PS+ save my save data for all the games. I strongly advise all ps3 users to select "On" for Save Data Auto-Upload. Back up your data. The hard drive is whisper quite and all store majority if not all of you PS+ games.
Summary: Very good price and for a 1TB a bargain ,what can you say about a disc except that it does the job .Copied my operating system onto this disc put back in the laptop and hey presto loads of storage and decent performance .It will be quite a while until SSD come down to a equivalent price , so this is the next best thing and with the Seagate name you know its a quality item .

Summary: Bought to upgrade the 12GB flash memory model of the Playstation 3 Slim, works fine and after the mandatory system stuff I still have over 800GB of storage for games etc. Note that the 12GB PS3 slim does not come with a mounting bracket, so if upgrading this model you will need to buy one separately, although I got one for around £5.
