Summary: This hard drive runs like a stripped-ass-ape. I love this HD. First: I am not a gamer so those game player issues do not apply to me. Find a gamer review. And do not drop your computer... I want speed, size, and simplicity. I wanted to install my own, first hard drive failure I have gone through.
Summary: Pulled a smaller 7200rpm drive out of an enclosure to use in a system as a boot drive, replaced it with this. don't need random access in a usb drive, this was an obvious choice. big, quiet, low power, fast sequentials, exactly what i needed.
Pros: cheap, slim (7mm), 500gb, good sequential speeds, low power usage
Summary: Seagate is one of the best brands out there so I don’t need to waste time with that. This hard drive was bought as a replacement for my laptop to increase capacity while maintaining the 7200 rpm speed. Seagate made the transfer fairly easy with their down-loadable clone software “Seagate DiskWizard.” The clone went surprisingly smooth except for one issue. The Windows Update stopped working on my Vista64 operating system (apparently indexing won’t work either).
Summary: I change my MacBook Pro HDD of 300gb with this HDD with 750 GB. First I mount this new 750GB HDD in an external enclosure (Vantec NexStar TX 2.5-Inch SATA to USB 2.0 External Hard Drive Enclosure) and I installed Mountain Lion. Then I installed all the applications, third I copied documents from the old HDD. the last operation was to install the new HDD inside my MBP. watch youtube for instructions.

Summary: really - I won't ever go back to a regular drive again. The only thing I see replacing this is a SSD drive. It gives a significant performance to any machine I stick this into. EXCELLENT, fast, quiet, and a real work horse.
Summary: I have owned this hard drive for awhile now and have no complaints with regards to it overall design and functionality. It has been functioning quite well and doesn't seem to have any overheating issues even though this is used in a gaming system. Would recommend.
