Seagate ST9320325AS Momentus 5400.6 320GB 5400RPM

Summary: Just a bad drive
Pros: Worked for the first 4 days
Cons: Windows 7 found multiple sector errors after a few days of use. The errors were found when using Windows backup. Should have ran a hard test on the drive after formatting the drive - several sectors found to be bad - first sectors unrecoverable.
Summary: This drive came stock in my Asus K60 laptop. I bought it in 2010 and had no problems until a year later when it unexpectingly crashed. Asus put a new one in and it too died six months later unexpectingly. To me, Seagate seems like a company that you can't expect consisent quality from.
Summary: I bought this drive because I read that the Scorpio drives from Western Digital were having issues very similar to what is described above, I've always been a fan of WD and I should have known better than to buy something other than WD.
Pros: Quiet, fast, low heat...at least while it works.
Cons: Bought this for a replacement in an Acer laptop, drive worked great for the first day or two and I returned the laptop to the customer. The drive failed a day later with a whining/clicking noise and a failure to boot to windows or read any data from it.
Summary: I'm not even going to bother returning these drives. I've bought 50 Western Digital drives in the last 4 years and not had any problems with hard disk failure. First experience with Seagate - two thumbs down. A lemon drive and a bricked drive. I can see where this company is going...
Pros: I bought three of these for my laptop, thinking a lower RPM drive would be great for RAID 5 in a laptop. They worked, I guess, for a while.
Cons: One of the hard drives made loud whistling sounds; another drive failed after 3 weeks. I can't even rebuilt my RAID 5 array now, or boot up my machine.
