Summary: First off I recieved this in the mail 2 days earlier then expected. Very easy to install and formatting PS3 takes about 20-30mins but make sure to download Firmware 4.55 and put it on a USB stick.
Summary: So inexpensive to upgrade the ps3 hdd. Have the 120 gb slim. Changed the hdd last nite. So fast. Process was 30 min from start to finish. Including removing the hdd and putting it back together. just make sure you have an flash drive with the current ps3 update on it for installation.
Summary: I had just filled up my PS3 after many years of game installations and wanted to make sure it would last for many more years to come without having to delete install files and game saves. Installation was really easy and quick.
Summary: I was taking a risk buying this product since I have no knoweledge about installing hdd`s but the ps3 slim is completly noob friendly just check out youtube first definatly a great buy for those who are in desperate need of extra storage space.
Summary: The drive in of itself is a good quality product, no complaints. However I used this drive for my PS3. I needed the extra space big time because I had purchased several movies from the PSN. Well, I installed the drive and began restoring my files and such when I noticed that the movies I had backed up no longer worked on the new drive. So I called Sonys support line and they told me the movies are a one shot download.
Summary: I bought this to upgrade my Ps3 from a 160gb hard drive to a 500gb. hard drive. I was down to 16 gb of space and being a PS+ member, I needed more space. After reading all the positive reviews I decided to go with the Seagate Momentus 5400. I downloaded the firmware update from the PlayStation store onto a USB flash drive, swapped, out the hard drives (incredibly easy), hooked everything backed up and the Ps3 guided me through the rest.I was really surprised as to how...
Summary: I bought this to upgrade my original, 20G "fat" PS3 system, and it worked like a charm. Plenty of space for tons of installed games (disc and direct-download), installation was a breeze, loading times are no worse than the original drive.
