Nice Drive

J. Yost, Amazon
16 March 2014
  • Summary: Ad did not say that it was built for Dell, and if you don't know that voids factory warranty. Contacted Amazon and Databug Customer service full warranty as good if not better than factory, in writing. Even offered to return it after trying if not happy.

  • Summary: I have been using Segate HDDs for 7 years. They are reliable and one of the best in their class. The best in their price range.

3 GB/sec drives, not 6 GB/sec as described

Steve in STL, Amazon
14 November 2013
  • Summary: These are not capable of 6 GB/sec. I have a 6 GB/sec RAID controller on my motherboard with 6GB/s SATA cables attached to these drives. The BIOS and disk utilities in the OS detect them as 3GB/s drives. Amazon should make them change the description and the company should give me a partial refund.

No Seagate Warranty, used - not new

John Keiser, Amazon
13 November 2013
  • Summary: Price was right for a "new" HD but SMART says mine has been used for 3000 hours. Seagate says OEM, no Seagate warranty. Maybe the vendor [TEK SOLUTIONS]steps up in 4 years, probably not. Misleading description to say the least. Amazon needs to police this a bit more diligently.
