Summary: Ok, I was pissed when i received this thing. NO WHERE ON THIS SITE DID IT SAY YOU NEEDED A SPECIAL CORD TO INSTALL. I purchased this for my FIRST PC build. It was a mistake. I didn't know that this HDD needed a special cable to plug it into the MOBO. It doesn't just simply take a sata cable or whatever.. It needs a special cord. make sure you look it up to figure out what it is. Best of luck, I just got a 7200RPM and have been happy with that.
Do not buy these from any 3rd party amazon seller!

Summary: I've bought two sets of 4, one from Yobitech, the other from Servertech inc. Both times, they were listed as "NEW" drives. What did I get in the mail? HEAVILY used drives! drives had upwards of 200+ TB of data moved across them, and had been in use for over 3 years. Each drive from both companies had recorded errors against the media, Yobitech's had unrecoverable errors logged.
Summary: I ordered one of these direct from Amazon at their $167 price as I had heard Yobitech was sometimes selling used drives as new. I needed the drive ASAP for a client's degraded RAID array. It came fast as usual, but when i opened the box I found a Seagate drive stuck in a used and ripped Western Digital static bag. This strongly implies that this drive has already been returned once and it most surely is NOT a new factory Seagate drive.
