Summary: Its a disapointing experience that things this days arent made to last, My first seagate of 320gb worked for 4 years, But i must say, that in my city there are a lot of power issues so, maybe that damage it. Buy with Caution!
Summary: I still haven't decided who makes the best drives, Seagate or Western Digital. But I do know this, it's a dead heat race. I am currently using 3 Seagate and 3 WD drives. The Seagate drives are very quiet and fast, and I haven't had one fail on me in 10 years (since I stopped buying computers and building my own) but you have to temper that knowledge with the fact that these drives are spinning at 7200 RPM so I always have a cooling fan on my drives.
it failed again same as my first seagate hard drive

Summary: I did not believe seagate hard drive would fail so quick. so I bought a second one. it failed again as the first one with the clicking sound. it lost my faith on American products. I maybe should go for Japanese products again.
Summary: I have three and all have been trouble free. Newegg's new hard drive packing is amazing. They put it in a hard bubble wrap container that hinges at the end, put that in a sturdy small box, then put that in a shipping box crammed full of those air pillows. They really mean business about protecting hard drives.
Pros: Runs great, runs at 29 deg. C with stock fans, Win7 installation was no problem, can't go wrong with this drive.
Summary: Purchased to replace a drive of the exact model in a Buffalo Linkstation. Drive worked great, however the station and original drive were damaged. placed this into a USB enclosure after I discovered this and it works great!
