Very Good as Boot Drive or Data Storage

Santeria "Son of Tazz", Amazon
29 October 2014
  • Summary: The first thing you need to have in getting the ULTRA II to function is the Sandsik SSD Dashboard. This allows you to check the status of the drive and use the Windows Utilities to get the drive fully functional. Formating is easy, but slightly different of course ( given the nature of the drive), but straightforward with the Dashboard.

Some Notes for Desktop Install

C. MacPhail, Amazon
18 October 2014
  • Summary: . First of all, have a good laugh at those of us who paid $200+ 18 months ago. Use camelcamelcamel (google it) to see if the current price is at low tide, or temporarily inflated. Love it. No problems so far. Excellent way to speed up your system. My quick test wrote a 1.12GB file in under 4 seconds. Same as my Crucial m4 (2012) SSD. Check other reviews for more expert tests. - - - Mechanical Install - - - 1.

Great Value for Money Spent to Boost Computer Performance & Notebook Battery Life

SanjeevP "Bottom Line", Amazon
25 September 2014
  • Summary: This 240 Gb SanDisk Ultra II SSD drive is a good value for money. One of the least expensive ways to increase the performance of your computer or to extend the life of computers is to replace mechanical hard drive with SSD drive. You can clone your old hard drive with one of the cloning software but in my experience I get a lot better performance with fresh OS install.

Fast. Thin. Light. Quiet. Efficient. Cool. Cheap. Nice.

Edward Durney, Amazon
23 September 2014
  • Summary: Fast. Thin. Light. Quiet. Efficient. Cool. Cheap. There's a lot to like about this solid state drive from SanDisk. It may not be as fast as some as the other competitive drives, including some from SanDisk. But compared to a standard hard disk drive, it's much faster. And at less than $100 (as I write this), you can't beat the price/quality combination this drive offers. I'm not sure why, though, this drive is 240 GB rather than 256 GB.

Makes my laptop faster

Dashiell Fryer, Amazon
2 January 2013
  • Summary: I have this running as the primary disk in an Asus U43J. It improves the speed on boot up, shutdown, and program execution substantially. The original hdd is now a second disk running in the optical bay using a hdd caddy from JacobsParts (also purchased on Amazon).

Great First SSD

53CMod, Amazon
23 February 2012
  • Summary: I love SanDisk products so when looking into purchase of a SSD I figured who better. Thx again Amazon, and SanDisk. Pros Great product, speed up my computer, clean boot of windows 7 32bit booted in 30 seconds flat, not bad compared to my 7200 RPM 1 TB HDD booting at twice that, with a dirty windows 7 32bit granted, but its actually more then 1/2 boot time from my old storage drive.
