Very good Internal Hard Drives

Roving Photographer1982/ Everton Oliphan, B&H Photo
16 March 2015
  • Excerpt: I use these HDD in my Atomos Shogun to record from my Sony PMW 320K. This camera records 35 Mb/s in 4: 2: 0 but outputs 10 bit 4: 2: 2 color. I get very beautiful video footage and the read/write speed is excellent. These are Solid state drives, so they make no noise and have no spinning motors.
  • Pros: Easy To Install, Fast, Highly Compatible, Quiet, Reliable
  • Cons: Expensive

User Review

Samuel L., Newegg
16 February 2015
  • Summary: Wish I had a few more of these to add to my array.
  • Pros: So far they have been rock solid in RAID 0. R/W are about 10 Gb/s.
  • Cons: There are slightly faster drives available for a similar price.

Fast - Lightweight

Robert P., Newegg
9 February 2015
  • Summary: I bought this to use in my LOTRO game rig - Yeah I'm still rocking the ring ;) Did I mention this thing is really light - The power cable can support it with ease System: ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD FX-8350 (New) Radeon HD6850 Kingston 12GB DDR3-1600MHz SanDisk Ultra II 240GB (New)
  • Pros: - Performs as advertised - Extremely lightweight - Aesthetically pleasing
  • Cons: - No migration software (Not a true con as I was doing a fresh Win 7 install) - Extremely lightweight - Possible problem might arise with sturdy power supply cables as they may put undue stress on the dainty SSD power connector - This will be my 1st Con at my beloved New Egg - The items that came...

Fast but not fast as specs say

Kelly Wood "corky", Amazon
4 February 2015
  • Summary: I have several ssd drives including the "old version" Sandisk Ultra Pro' yes ssd's boot and run way faster than mechanical drives. But i have run many bench mark test on all my ssd's when you buy a ssd the specs usual claim around 500-550 read and write speeds.

SSD speeds up aging netbook but cloneing process is tricky.

Joe R, Amazon
2 February 2015
  • Summary: Installed in my aging Lenovo S10-2 Netbook computer upgraded to 2GB RAM. SSD works great. The disk access light just flickers occasionally instead of locking on solid while waiting for my system to come back. It was however a bit of a challenge to clone my system disk.

Yup, magic memory makers

M. Merritt "Honest-even if it hurts", Amazon
11 December 2014
  • Summary: As usual SanDisk makes magic ram more magical than most magicians of magical ram. I cloned a windows 7 install from an original Lenovo Z575 - 5400 rpm drive to this drive and the little AMD A8 laptop became fast stealthy and dangerous.

Very Good as Boot Drive or Data Storage

Santeria "Son of Tazz", Amazon
29 October 2014
  • Summary: The first thing you need to have in getting the ULTRA II to function is the Sandsik SSD Dashboard. This allows you to check the status of the drive and use the Windows Utilities to get the drive fully functional.

Some Notes for Desktop Install

C. MacPhail, Amazon
18 October 2014
  • Summary: . First of all, have a good laugh at those of us who paid $200+ 18 months ago. Use camelcamelcamel (google it) to see if the current price is at low tide, or temporarily inflated. Love it. No problems so far. Excellent way to speed up your system.
