74 second boots before, 9 seconds after -- this drive has breathed new life into my old desktop. Amazing upgrade.

Summary: About 74 seconds. Before I received and installed the SanDisk Extreme PRO, that's about how long it would take me to get to a functional Win8.1 desktop on a five year old desktop that sort of serves as the central hub here at home. I'd get to the desktop a bit faster than that, but wouldn't be able to do much as various programs loaded into place. About 9 seconds. That's how long it takes now, after plugging this solid state drive in as my boot/OS drive.
Summary: Worth the cost to breath new life into a decent, but slightly outdated PC. Everything is faster... didn't even realize how slow it was until we became acquainted with lighting fast. At first I wished there were more instructions for the simple-minded like me, however even paper instructions are a little outdated, right? Basically, visit their website, read the straight-forward instructions, and BOOM! you're 3/4 done. It was simple. Wish I had done this sooner.
If you are looking for consistent performance without breaking the bank this drive fits the bill.

Summary: If you are looking for consistent performance without breaking the bank this drive fits the bill. I upgraded the 1TB Samsung EVO in my desktop PC with this drive and to be honest didn't notice much of a difference - then again I expected as much - since performance of the top SSD drives nowadays is within a few percent of each other.
Summary: So it took me three weeks before I was brave enough to face being the surgeon on my husband's pc! Here was this tiny box and no real instructions to speak of. A simple trip to the website helped me. (keep in mind, I have never done this). I felt kind of foolish because it really was 1-2-3 easy! I was pleased with the ease of use, speed and most of all...the one thing that it lacked...noise! Silent and wonderful!
Review for the Non-Techies - Easy enough project for (almost) anyone to do.

Summary: The product comes in a small box with no instructions except to go to their website. Head to the website and print the PDF instructions because you will not be able to have open windows or a web browser once you get started. If you are cloning a drive (cloning = you already have a computer with a hard drive and want to completely copy everything, including the operating system, from the old hard drive to the new SSD drive), you will need a way to connect the new SSD...
Summary: This was a cinch to install, but it still took me awhile to figure out what I was doing. The other reviews were very helpful, along with the SanDisk support website. I wanted to install this SSD on my Dell Inspiron i15R-1632sLV 15.6-Inch Laptop, which has been pretty good for the most part. However, it takes forever to start up—there seems to be a lot of Dell bloatware that it could do without. So here is the process for installing this on a laptop: 1.
Summary: I got this solid state drive (SSD) to review through the Amazon Vine program. I have had SSD in the past and I love that they are much faster than a conventional disk. The bootup speed is always faster and in general the systems that I have put SSD in have faster response time. I also really like that there is a 10 year warranty, although I doubt I will still be using this drive in 10 years (it'll probably be too small by then).
Summary: This is a GREAT piece of hardware from a company that is both known and trusted. They have been in the storage game for a long time, and that made me wonder how their product was. I was going to initially place it inside my laptop because of the fact that SSD are very resistant to vibration, but decided to put it in my desktop to see how it would go.
