Summary: I bought four of these drives and installed them in my Qnap NAS. This was *four* years ago. That NAS has been running 24/7 since then with not a single glitch by any of these drives. They have also run cool and quite. Superb drives.
Summary: Needed to replace a Segate Baracuda that died. Not as fast, however, it is chugging along and runs very quiet. This was for my Network Backup, I did not have to format or set it up special, just plug it in and boom, my backup software started with no problems.
Summary: The Samsung hard drive I bought was reasonably priced and affordable for most buyers. It was a bare drive. It came in plastic as opposed to the box that a lot would be in. It was new and in the original factory plastic bag. I got it earlier than it was expected.
Summary: Bought 2 of these for a Synology 2-bay NAS (which is always on) and have used them for almost 3 years without issues. Quick and quiet, I only wish I'd bought the 7200rpm version for a little more speed.
Summary: I ordered two of these things for a DNS-321 NAS device. They were both used. One was packed incredibly well; I could have sworn I ordered a brand new barebones drive. The other one wasn't packed well at all.
