Summary: I needed a used Spinpoint drive in order to harvest a couple of parts to repair a damaged drive that I own. I did not yet complete the job but after I ordered the Hard Drive and paid for it, the seller then contacted me and informed me that the item was damaged and that he had no other drives of that type. Obviously I needed that specific drive, and so I decided to accept the damaged drive as the parts that I needed were intact.
Excerpt: I've had this Sata2 hard drive for a while now, and i have been very impressed by several factors which i considered when buying the item. Firstly, the Samsung Spinpoint drives are very silent and can hardly be heard over the system and CPU fan. Ive used several hard drives from Western Digital before this and I am also impressed by its better performance even though they are both 7200rpm SATA2 drives.
Pros: Quiet and Reliable
Cons: Slightly more expensive some other companies
Excerpt: Here we are, a superb hard disk. Quiet, durable and fast. With a 7200rpm spin speed and its SATA interface, this drive is the perfect desktop hard disk. I've now installed two of these in a RAID stripe, and they've always been fast and reliable. However, that's all good and dandy and stuff, but many, many hard disks last a very long time, serving their computer impeccably year after year. What should make this one different?
