DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FLYING AND DRIVING, IMHO

Summary: I was looking to improve performance of my laptop that took literally 6 to 8 MINUTES to boot. While reading these reviews, I was convinced that an SSD swap was in order. I purchased a 250 GB Samsung SSD from Amazon. The swap took under 5 minutes (three small screws in total). I had the right screwdriver, thanks to one of the reviews here. I did not even use the Data Migration disk. Instead, I did a fresh install of my Windows 7 Ultimate.
Excerpt: I needed to replace my old and tired internal 750GB SATA drive on my 2012 Macbook Pro. I cloned the drive, opened the Macbook, swapped the drive, and booted up. Of course, my Macbook is about 200% faster. I have loaded bootcamp and Windows 7 as well. No compatability issues. I run an IT company in South Florida, and we stopped using any non-samsung SSD's after too many failed.
Summary: I bought this disk to replace my old and slow 5400 drive on a Lenovo Idepad Z470 but does not recognize it. Do not know why. I googled this issue but no one had the same problem so I'm lost now.
Excerpt: The drives (I have 3 now) seem great. I used 2 750GB as my primary Raid 1 drive. Recently, it lost mirror. However, I broke the mirror and resynced and all seems good. I bought this one when I thought the primary had gone bad - so now I have a backup. Not sure if the problem was the drive or the fact that I'm mirroring thru Windows instead of the hardware.
Pros: Easy To Install, Fast, Highly Compatible, Quiet
Excerpt: I replaced a Seagate Momentus hybrid drive in my MacBook Pro, which had replaced the original 5400 RPM drive. The jump up to the hybrid was impressive. Opening Photoshop Elements used to take around 40 seconds, and with the Momentus, that was cut down to around 10 seconds. Similar performance with iPhoto, VMWare Fusion, and others. I was wondering how much faster the EVO would be. I knew it would be faster, but enough to eliminate buyer's remorse?
Excerpt: This Samsung 840 EVO SSD replaced an aging hard drive in my Late 2008 Apple Macbook Pro. It installed very quickly with the removal of one screw, the cable and then the 4 "mounting" screws attached to the sides of the exiting drive. These 4 screws are then installed on the new SSD so the drive mounts exactly where the hard drive fit. Formatting and partitioning was easy with Apple's Disk Utility. A great upgrade for the cost.
Pros: Easy To Install, Fast, Highly Compatible, Quiet, Reliable
Summary: Great product. found instructions on You tube. It was very easy to install and performance is exceptional. My labtop starts within a view seconds and any program is lightning fast. I'm very happy with this product.
Summary: Well this ssd drive is amazing, I use it as an external drive w my retina 15" MacBook Pro. With a seagate backup plus enclosure, and a thinderbolt cable. If ur gonna go 750gb, might as well go 1tb, take it from me.
