Summary: It comes with a cloning program. The program tells you need a usb to sata cable to clone your files. The problem is the ssd doesn't come with one, how dumb is that. I had to order a cable separately to use the software. Once I did clone my HD to ssd, the ssd would not boot. When I plugged in my old hard drive it was corrupted and would not boot either. The software wiped both my drives! Lost all my data and had to wipe both drives.
Summary: This is the first SSD I buy, did some research before to make sure it is easy to install. The online demo video I found says Samsung SSD come with a USB to SATA adapter. The instruction also mentions using adapter to connect and clone the current hard drive. But surprisingly, this deal does not include adapter. I end up spend $20 to buy an enclosure (don’t want to wait another 1 week, otherwise should be able to get one around $5 online).

Summary: I've been eyeing this drive for about 6 months and decided to try some of the less expensive drives that had speed ratings close to the 840 evo. First tried an ocz vertex 3 60gb and it was a decent upgrade from the vertex 2 (due to sata 6gb/s). Decided I needed a 120gb drive so found the Kingston SSDNow V300 120gb for 69.99 and while it did perform better than the vertex 3, it still wasn't as good as it claimed or I expected.
Summary: ordered two of these drives for $79 each. tried installing windows 7 on the first drive I opened and the install crashed half way through, error code 0x8007045d appeared.
