Summary: This was my first SSD and I couldn't be happier. I have bought several SSD's of different models for my additional PCs and for family members.
Pros: 3 years later and still running like brand new. This is a fast, high capacity SSD that I use to run my system OS and my MMORPG's. System boots in 10 seconds or less, in-game loading times are minimal. I'm very pleased with this SSD.
Cons: System didn't immediately recognize this drive, but this issue was easy enough to resolve.
Pros: Love my two 64GB versions and wish I could have tested this one.
Cons: Talk about unfortunate bad luck. I bought as a gift for the non-savvy parents, taking it to them many months after I bought it on sale and received it, only to find when I broke the seals and opened it...there was no SSD inside! Summary: Always back up everything, no matter what.
Pros: I switched over from a traditional hard disk to an SSD and I shaved over a minute off my boot time, not to mention the massive speed-up from those first-time loads of software. Cons: The only downside is that 19 months later it died. Total bummer. However, it's still under its 3-year warranty so I'm sending it in to Samsung to see if they'll fix/replace it.
Summary: Thank goodness for the 3 year warranty, i use this for my ladies computer just annoyed i have to use my backup ssd to install windows for now..
Pros: fast 2 years of reliability? easy install
Cons: corrupted after 2 years - for the price it doesnt seem like a sound investment. slower than my 128gb m4 crucial. samsung magician software with it seemed buggy blue screened the bajeezus out of me on its final stages of life.
