Summary: Pro: stable; great price; a definite improvement over mechanical drives; Samsung Magician software makes configuring your OS a breeze Con: SATA II; speed is not impressive for a SSD --- my Patriot Wildfire crushed it in Passmark benchmarking
Summary: This is my first SSD and I am very satisfied with the performance. Not the fastest but very reliable with good track record of not failing. Do your homework to get the right drive that suits your needs, but you will not be disappointed with this SSD.
Summary: The Samsung 128GB SSD is a nice drive which works well. Assuming it performs well over the next month, I will increase it's rating to 5 stars, and will probably buy another one. Some things to know before you buy. 1) Although it's marketed as 128GB, it's actually 120GB, just like the competition. See FAQ 358344 at [...] 2) Before you install it, write down the serial number found on the drive itself, as the serial number on the box may be different(!
Summary: Samsung is considered by many online technology review sites as the manufacturer of one of the most reliable solid state drives. The main drawbacks of its products have been the high prices and the relatively slow speed. Even this latest model only supports SATA II and 250MB/s read speed.
Summary: The drive is good and solid. However it has some issues with MacBooks (unsure if the issues are software or hardware related) essentially you get about 2x the performance with these drives under windows than what you do under MacOS. Works great under Windows 7. Fast, stable, low-power consumption.
