Summary: Showed no signs of failure, just completely died one day. Data recovery is impossible because it will not boot at all and is unseen. Lesson learned if you are going to use ssd drives, back them up often.
Summary: This drive is advertised with a 3 year warranty. The MTBF is estimated at 15 years. Apparently this is greatly inflated. Some of these drive are DOA. Mine lasted 21 months before failing. While it worked it was great. Samsung still handles the warranty on SSD drives.
Summary: This is an excellent SSD, I replaced the HDD of my Toshiba 630 laptop. I'm using windows 7 and was board whenever I need to do a start up for the system or reboot. With this SSD the reboot is extremely fast and launching application as well.
