Samsung Hard Drive

Summary: My existing hard drive was on the blink so wanted a bigger capacity unit to replace it, I searched throughout the Internet for the best price, I'm a pensioner on a fixed income, eventually arriving back at Amazon who offered the best deal. The unit arrived on the day it was supposed to, neatly packaged. Now, for all those people who do not know how to transfer files and have bought expensive software to help, here is a tip.
Summary: This is supposed to be about the Samsung HD502HJ 500 GB hard drive, but all of the reviews which I have read so far (good and bad) refer to completely different models - usually the 1TB version. Is it Amazon's fault that these reviews are getting into the wrong box? Where do I loook to find out what buyers think of the 500GB drive? I had to award stars to get this question accepted!
Summary: Brought theses 4 to go with a fifth one drives as i am building a pc so far so good they are quick and so quite, Instalation on theses drives was so easy just pull out the tray and screw not using the screws provided as they were to short hehehe slide back in and connect the sata cables all done :-) Am planing on using my Hard drive`s for a Raid array to improve performance and lowere the chances of any data loss, Will keep you posted on how that goes in another review.
Summary: Fast sequential read/write speed 150MB/s. Fast access times ~ 7ms. Very quiet - my CPU fan makes more noise than the HDD. I've had it for about a month now and have had no problems with it so far.
Summary: As expected an excellent drive that runs smoothly and efficiently. Been installed for just under four months and thrashed soundly (games, music server and photographic editing / storage). Came with a screw kit which was nice (last one did not). Would buy another (pair) if needed in future. Hmmm, 2 years on (September 2012) and 1 of the 2 still alive...nasty little power spike and dead meat. Second one still going strong and re-used after a rebuild.
Summary: This is my first SATA drive and I am well impressed. Took it straight out of the box and installed it to my system, which automatically set it ready for me to install my software. I cant give any review on the realiabilty as I have only just installed it, but the speed is amazing (used to an old IDE setup) and it makes virtually no sound in my case.
