Summary: This was a replacement for one which gave up the on me after the warranty ran out on my computer. Local repair people wanted to rip me off for replaacement. Microsoft software makes it easy and it helps that I had a laptop with the same software and both units anr set up on a network.
Summary: Bought this drive when they were first coming out. Was really taking a chance because a faulty or unreliable hard drive is a nightmare. Almost a year and a half later, both of them are still running strong. The drives have been installed in a RAID-0 setup since day one, and they move amazingly well. Read speeds over 200MB/s, not a single bad sector, quiet, don't generate a lot of heat.
Summary: I installed two of these hard drives in my big gaming self build nine months ago and two more in a slightly less powerfull self-build four months ago. They are the most reliable and quitest drives I have ever used. We use these computers 5 to 10 hours a day with many large downloads and other drive intensive operations. Not one failure and not a hint of a crash. Kind of scary since crashes are a way of computer life.
Summary: Since I first started using Samusung Drives back in 2003 in the when of the IDE, and then I bought the SATAI and SATAII, and soon SATAIII, I haven't had a glint of a problem with any of them. The IDE's have been out of warranty over 4 years now. Still quiet and no sign of any trouble, but if they do, HEY, I got my bang for the buck! I bought this drive as a back-up for my 5 drive raid.
Summary: The first hard drive I had ever purchased was a Samsung, and it had all of the qualities I was looking for. It was fast, quiet and reliable (still going strong after 4+ years of use). This is the reason why I purchased another Samsung hard drive, and so far, it's living up to its predecessor's reputation. I am very pleased with its performance and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Summary: Bought this drive from Amazon. Installed it on an existing PC and installed Windows 7. No problems at all. Note that ths is a bare bones drive. It does not come with SATA cables. The drive is very quite and fast.
Summary: I bought this drive according to Passmark's website this at the time i purchased it was the highest benchmark rated non SSD HD on the market. Works great, under $60.00 no issues runs very cool and quiet yay Samsung!
Summary: I replaced two older Western Digital Raptor WD740GD drives installed in a striped RAID array with two of these Samsung HD502HJ hard drives. These drives are much faster by comparison. Read and write times are nearly 50% faster and latency is somewhat lower although seek time is somewhat slower probably due to the slower RPM of these drives (I used HDD Tune 2.55 to benchmark the drives).
