FAST and reliable for a mechanical drive
19 November 2013
Summary: Best Mechanical hard drive i've ever had. reliable, VERY FAST for mechanical speed standard. it's actually very light, i believe there's only one single platter inside, which makes reliability even better. more platter, the more likely a drive will fail.
Summary: This was a replacement for one which gave up the on me after the warranty ran out on my computer. Local repair people wanted to rip me off for replaacement. Microsoft software makes it easy and it helps that I had a laptop with the same software and both units anr set up on a network.
Summary: Bought this drive when they were first coming out. Was really taking a chance because a faulty or unreliable hard drive is a nightmare. Almost a year and a half later, both of them are still running strong. The drives have been installed in a RAID-0 setup since day one, and they move amazingly well.
Summary: I installed two of these hard drives in my big gaming self build nine months ago and two more in a slightly less powerfull self-build four months ago. They are the most reliable and quitest drives I have ever used.
Summary: Since I first started using Samusung Drives back in 2003 in the when of the IDE, and then I bought the SATAI and SATAII, and soon SATAIII, I haven't had a glint of a problem with any of them. The IDE's have been out of warranty over 4 years now.
Summary: Bought this drive from Amazon. Installed it on an existing PC and installed Windows 7. No problems at all. Note that ths is a bare bones drive. It does not come with SATA cables. The drive is very quite and fast.
Summary: I was pleasantly surprised when I received this drive and it was in very good packaging,(wish I had taken some pics), but after reading a lot of negative comments all over Amazon about how they ship hard drives, I was very skeptical about ordering one, however my fears were assuaged when I got it...
