Absolutely beast SSD

Pros: Great drive at a great price (at the time.) There are less expensive drives out now, but when I purchased this, it was a sweetheart of a deal. Read/write rates are astonishing, and there have been zero issues with stability. Highly recommended.
Summary: Sue W: Your review is not indicative of the performance you should be getting from this drive. Either your laptop is not configure properly for SSDs (SATA controller is in the wrong mode), or you simply have a lemon.
Pros: Everything you'd expect from an SSD. Been going strong for well over 2 years.
Summary: Best SSD of its day. Still rocking today after 2 years and has the same speeds as it did when brand new. Now the 850 and 850 pro are out, but this drive will still do 500mbps. Well worth it if you don't want to spend money on a 840 or 850 and want 99% of the same performance.
Summary: Great drive ... still in use today. Cannot remember when I bought this, but it was at least 1 year ago. Still going strong and fast. Not as fast (not slow but some do outperform due the types of chips used and architecture) as some in some types of operations, but reliability + size + price + great...
Summary: I have a Macbook Pro 15" Retina (Macbook pro 8,2) and it came with a 7200 RPM 500GB Hard Drive. I replace that with this. My startup time with teh old HD was 48 seconds...now I start up in 16 seconds and my fans are rarely on (except when using After Effects for a while, lol) Installation was easy,...
Summary: Placed 3 of these in a dell 720 as a dev server. They are sitting as individual drives on a perc controller, so no ssd in vmware. But they are fast and have stood up to a few months of dev, which is a torture test.
