Samsung 830 Series SSD 512 GB

22 August 2012
  • Summary: Samsung's 830 Series SSD left me very impressed. The drive doesn't use any of the well-known controllers like SandForce or Marvell, but comes with Samsung's own controller design instead. This doesn't have to be a bad thing; on the contrary, the 830 doesn't come with the load of issues that are unique to Marvell/Indilinx or SandForce.
  • Pros: Very high performance, 7 mm thick, Ultrabook ready, SATA 6 Gbps support, Rich bundle, Supports TRIM, 3-year warranty
  • Cons: Relatively high price, Warranty could be longer, Needs a SATA 6 Gbps controller to perform best

Samsung 830 Series SSD Review

maximum pc
14 December 2011
  • Summary: The 830 Series SSD can’t match the high-queue-depth random writes of a SandForce-powered drive, but it’s as good or better than the competition at everything else, with especially impressive sustained write speeds. The 830 Series SSD is a serious ass-kicker that demonstrates Samsung’s vertical integration to be a concrete advantage over the competition.
  • Pros: Blazing fast, especially in sustained writes; sleek and attractive; comes with a full copy of Norton Ghost.
  • Cons: Can't match SandForce for 4k random IOPS.

Recensione: Samsung 830 Series 256GB su MacBook Pro 2012, velocità a robustezza a buon prezzo

29 July 2012

Test: Samsung SSD 830 Series MZ-7PC256 (SSD)

CHIP Online
18 November 2011
  • Pros: Extrem schnell, Super Zugriffszeiten, Starke Transferraten, Dedizierter Cache
  • Cons: Vergleichweise hoher Stromverbrauch
