Summary: Used this to get my MacBookAir 1,1 (Original) back up and working. Running Fedora 19 on it, and it boots to the desktop in 8 seconds. At first I was worried about buying a lesser-known brand of SSD, but after doing research on others buying the same drive for the same computer, I took the plunge. I'm glad I did, and my MacBook Air is faster than the day I bought it!
Summary: I've bought two of these to replace the drives in a Dell D420 and a D430 laptop. Easy installation, no driver required, just works. One of the drives I replaced was working properly, but was too small and too slow. I used the included cable and software to mirror the existing operating system. The other drive I replaced was beginning to fail so I started with a clean OS on that system. Both methods worked on the first try with no issues.
Summary: Purchased to use on my original MacBook Air. Unit did not fit well and cable kept slipping out of ZIF connector. After less than 2 months of use the unit failed. Do not buy this brand. I made the mistake of not doing a good online search to get feedback on this brand. After it failed I did a search and got these results [...] Suggest you review the negative feedback on the above search before you decide to buy this product.
Summary: Bought two of these via Amazon. Shipped only one but the vendor made good on the 2nd one very promptly. They both ultimately worked ok but not as advertised. The preloaded backup software did not work. I had to use a personal copy of Acronis to backup my old drive and then restore to the new larger RunCore drive. The included drive holder came in handy to facilitate this maneuver.
