Summary: Bought this to use as a dedicated gaming SSD. Loads games up quick and no stuttering issues. BF4 loads in 45 sec instead of 2 min and CSGO maps load in 5 sec instead of 20. Well worth the buy when it was on sale last year.
Summary: I've been using 256Gb version for 6 months. It's installed on a laptop as an OS drive. So far great performance and no problem. Even though write speed seems less than top ssd products, as an average user, I got nothing but amazing experience. "USE an SSD". Nothing left to say. Also don't forget to update firmware (1.06). 5 stars right away...
Pros: Excellent SSD, very fast, windows loads in seconds, my computer games load quickly as well. It's been working perfectly without a glitch for about 8 months now. I use it in my Alienware 17 laptop.
Summary: I would recommend this m-sata drive without hesitation however, Plextor use to manufacture very good hard drives now they are manufacturing very good solid state drives, you can't go wrong by picking up this unit. You get good value for money.
Pros: Very, very reliable SSD (that is the main reason why I chose it) Speeds are good enough for me, Seq. Read: 492.1 MB/s Seq. Write: 399.4 MB/s 512k Read: 363.0 512k Write: 372.2 4k Read: 21.87 4k Write: 34.95 4k QD 32 Read: 300.6 4k QD 32 Write: 228.5 however if you were to put this until with Samsung's EVO, it would receive a beating but not far behind. Plextor's MLC more reliable than than Samsung's TLC. Very expensive (one reason due to its high demand) drive, I got ...
Cons: Not the fastest m-sata drive around, Intel and Samsung are the leaders when it comes to speed. Only 237GB usable after installing Windows 8.1. It doesn't appear to have a built-in temperature sensor but it runs cool,
Summary: I've had this SSD for a few months now, and it has been rock solid the entire time. Very fast start up and shuts down times, and the read/write speed in my (very informal tests) has been very strong--more than sufficient for any typical task a PC user could throw at it.
