Did Not Work as OSX Lion Boot Disk
M. Grosser, Amazon
1 January 2013
Summary: The drive had some strange issues where it would not work as an OSX boot drive. I was able to clone my hard disk to it, but it wouldn't function as the boot drive when plugged in over SATA. Strangely, it did work over USB.
Summary: The rebate process has some serious issues. The drive seems to work as well as the 330 and sandisk extreme I have. All faster than a HD. But with the rebate process one would have to wonder how support works when you need it.
Summary: Disappointed with my first Plextor experience. I have 2 more computers with SSD drives (Samsung/Kingston)almost a year still running great
Pros: Great speed and performance when it was new
Cons: Six months later, boot time went from 20sec to 2 minutes.I haven't install any software or hardware for months.I have disable almost everything from start up with no difference.I have even re image the computer with the first backup I had when the drive was new and still slow.I have no multi boot...
Cons: Terrible drive. Computer couldn't read, slow, died within two weeks. Very poor quality drive and poor quality control. Buyer beware. You will be disappointed. Spend a little more and get a reliable drive. It will be cheaper in the long run.
Summary: Tried to install on new motherboard and had many errors with BSD. Upgraded MB BIOS and SDD firmware and still have many errors. There were still BSD and corrupted Windows files (when I ran SFC /scannow). Tried installing Windows 5 times and then RMAed it.
Summary: Received 10 days after ordered (Ground - Regular) Using the Plextor PX-63M3 for : OS and programs (no games) Using a WD 2TB Black (7200rpm - 64Mb Cache - Sata III) for Storage Ownership : 7th day : sporadic random computer freeze ups begin.
