Took a licking and kept on.

Helen F., Newegg
13 February 2014
  • Summary: This drive just took a huge ESD ZAP by accident. The resulting zap erased the drive completely. I thought this SSD was now a totally fried brick. But although it was empty, it took a format, and I was able to restore the data, and this drive was able to boot up again. I was amazed.
  • Pros: Fast, Very fast, Tough ESD hardened.
  • Cons: None

Great SSD, Marvell Controller

Guy B., Newegg
30 September 2012
  • Pros: Works great and problem free for a 1 1/2 year and performs way better than any mechanical drive. It has a Marvell Controller which is more stable than the Sandforce Controllers currently. If you want something reliable I suggest buying a Plextor, Samsung, or Intel SSD.
  • Cons: Doesn't perform as well as the Sandforce drives. A little more expensive than the cheap brands of SSD's

Anthony A., Newegg
2 April 2012
  • Pros: I added this drive to my rig on 07/11 and it has exceeded my expectations. I got a 7.7 WEI then and I still get that now. It is connected to an Asus Rampage III Formula 1366 board. Other components: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 12GB i7-940 Bloomfield 2.93GHz LGA 1366 COOLER MASTER Silent Pro 1000W EVGA...

  • Summary: Cheaper then a new laptop and transferable when the time does come. So fast she no longer wants a new laptop! My wallet wins both ways! Sorry this is off topic, but I get a kick out of reading these reviews here.
  • Pros: Sweet lil SSD, easy setup and very fast. Large enough but not to small for her non gaming laptop. Do yourself a favor, if you have never installed an SSD drive or even if you have, Google SSD there is a wealth of tips and tricks you need to know that will make your SSD preform as it is supposed t...

Not a single problem

Anonymous, Newegg
5 January 2012
  • Summary: Nice to have a silent computer.... no HD rattling away when you do something. I've installed the quietest fans i could find, and set-up Fan Xpert so they only run as fast as they need to. Win7 64 Pro. Sabertooth X58 Motherboard Intel Core I7 960 3.2ghz processor (running 4.25ghz stable!
  • Pros: Win7 64 boots to internet in 45 seconds from pressing the power button. Only getting 6.9 on WEI, even though it's running SATA III @ 6gps. I probably need to update the firmware, but i'm happy the way it's running now. I waited 4 months to review it to be sure i was HAPPY and it didn't crash. No ...
  • Cons: Don't think there is one..... Price? You get what you paid for, so price isn't a con.

Boot up time is amazing

Anonymous, Newegg
24 December 2011
  • Summary: Make sure you get a platter drive for bulk storage and use this drive for your OS.
  • Pros: Excellent boot up time for my OSes and my VMs. I can boot a Windows 7 VM in literally a few seconds. Have had it for over 6 months and no failure. High performance product for a good value.
  • Cons: The only con I can think of is that 128GB is not a lot of space. However, I dual-boot and have several VMs, so that explains why the space is used up quickly. This is a con with all 128 GB SSDs, not this one in particular. It can be mitigated by using a platter drive for bulk storage, or spending...

Jeff K., Newegg
12 November 2011
  • Summary: Overall a reliable, solid, fast product that was easy to install and will raise your Win7 scores to max in many cases. Good price point compared to other SSDs.
  • Pros: It's reliable, comes from a long time manufacturer of quality drives, it's a small form factor (great for laptop or desktop), has a very low power draw, does not generate any real heat.
  • Cons: Size to cost ratio still not where we would all like it to be for SSD's.
